| This course is an introduction to the nurturing
aspects of the ancient science and art of Yoga and meditation for
self care of the body, mind and spirit.
You will:
- Explore the basic principles and techniques of 3 different meditation
practices.
- Learn and practice gentle yoga flow and passive restorative yoga
poses.
- Practice a basic form of Yoga Nidra: deep yogic relaxation.
- Develop your own customized self care program by selecting the
practices from the class that resonate with you.
Instruction includes mainly supervised practice along with lecture
and demonstration.
Materials & Supplies:
Participants are asked to bring a yoga mat, 2 stiff blankets [which
may be ordered in advance from Iris], an eye pillow, and 2 bed size
pillows.
